Was a certain scene cut out? It made no sense that Mel would agree to such a thing. It prevented him from making any money.

I haven't watched yesterdays episode yet, but I recall from past viewing (E! and TNN) that the trucks refrigeration went out and the peaches would spoil in the heat.

Yes, that was explained, but why did Mel care if the peaches spoiled or not? All those crates took up the entire diner. There was no place for customers to sit.

Not sure if they cut the scene out or not, but the young tucker starts to whine loudly "WHAT'RE WE GONNA DO??? They'll all SPOIL out there!!!" and getting on Mel's nerves. Mel finally agrees, saying:

"ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT, bring them in. Just, for God's sake, STOP your WHINING!!!"-lol

God, that whole episode was annoying. For the reasons you stated Brian abt the characters and also it was just not enjoyable.

Yes, they cut out about 4.5 minutes of footage after the 1st commercial break, 1st we see how Alice is upset that she turned the mobster in, then we see how the trucker asks Mel to keep the peaches in the air conditioned diner, and they all agree to help bring in the crates.

Seems like someone at Ion just says cut a few minutes out after there is a commercial break, without any regard for the continuity of the show.
