This is the greatest news I've heard in a while. And I'm pretty sure it will sell well, because of John Ritter. In fact, I was thinking all three seasons have a great shot of being released. Season 1, for John Ritter. Season 2 for the three Ritter episodes plus the Goodbye episode. And then season 3 from the sales of season 2. So even if season 3 doesn't sell well, at least we'll have the entire series on DVD.

Now it doesn't matter about the show being in syndication, because we'll be able to watch the show uncut whenever we want (well, once we buy the set).

Besides Boy Meets World, Buena Vista is usually good in subsequent seasons. I think we will get all three within a year.

This is indeed wonderful news. After taping all 76 eps on VHS last summer I screwed up the second ep of Season 1 by trying to tape it again because I was missing 5 min. Now I'm missing all 30 minutes. That's my OCD kicking in (having to have all 30 min). So now I can have all the eps with nothing missing on DVD.

Regardless of the Season 2 sales maybe being lackluster, they will no doubt release all three seasons because no one would stop so close to the end.

Here's to hoping we have the entire series by next spring!

Great news indeed, I loved this show when Mr. Ritter was on it and even the few subsequent episodes I saw after his death (and the episodes dealing with his death in S2 were very touching). The bonus feature has been announced--- there will be bloopers (which should be hilarious).

I would suspect that Buena Vista would not give us a truckload of special features, because they never do, but at least they're giving us something, when some studios give us zilch. A John Ritter tribute would've been nice, but I guess the "Three's Company" DVD sets took care of that. Anyway, I'm glad to see it finally be released, and it's very cheap too!

Buena Vista is among the best in special features. See Desperate Housewives, Lost, Scrubs. I guess for shows in production they are great.

Yes, Buena Vista can do a good job when they put their mind to it ....

Home Improvement Season 1 wasn't all that bad, a clip montage and commentaries, I'd just like a few commentaries.

I'm sure they could do better though, ABC commercials for example, interviews they did for ABC.com ... there is so much that wouldn't even require new filming.

This is great news for John Ritter fans. His final works on DVD, what more could you ask for?

I think I'll buy this at some point. I loved the first season. I won't be buying seasons 2 or 3 though.

Now the only John Ritter show that isn't on DVD is Hooperman.

Hooperman is slated to come soon...just don't know WHEN. Adam Productions did sell it for home entertainment, probably to 20th Century Fox. Anything But Love seasons three and four should come soon...John produced it and had a recurring role in those seasons. He also produced the short lived Have Faith...he guest starred in an episode too. Hopefully those come soon.
