Default "Watchable" final trilogy scenes?

There are a couple of scenes (or partial scenes) that I can watch if I keep at least one eye closed and peek through the other eye.

I'll start it off with the Chinese food scene. I hate it when Maddie walks into the room and finds David and "evil cousin", so I can't watch that part of the scene, BUT I love the part of the scene when Maddie ends up on David's back and he moves back and forth with her on top of him -- when she gets off of him, the look and reaction Cybill gives him is classic -- I also like the scene outside of the room when they are arguing -- I would love to know exactly what words Maddie and David are spewing at each other, but to this day, I cannot figure it out.

I also love the blue pajama scene on the steps of Maddie's house. She looks classic, so comfortable in her outfit and demeanor, plus there seems to be a genuine affection between them that is missing in most of the final episodes. The kiss on the cheek is precious, and the "see ya later" (instead of "see ya tomorrow") always interested me.

Does anyone else have a scene or two that springs to mind?

Too funny Kismet!

Okay, the scenes that you mentioned are some of the scenes I was thinking of as well. I love the chinese food part. maddie was trying to be sweet and David ruins her nice gesture. When Maddie finds him with HER, i want to leave the room! That's one thing David never had to witness--maddie with sam. I guess that's why sam doesn't really bother me. You could see Maddie's dilemma. It's different in WGC, David is just being mean to her. And that bugs me.

The blue pajamas--also great. I like when David goes to Maddie's house w/ the anselmo papers too. He was hoping to be invited in. When he drives off, you can sense his frustration. He still cares. UGH!!!

Oh, in LE...when i finally got up the courage to watch it on dvd (1st time since 1989), i listened to mark's speech to David about marriage. He talks about the ups and downs. I got the feeling it was about david and maddie. To me, ML has always been written as though M & D were sort of married w/out having actually gone though the process of a wedding. I don't know, the reason i got that feeling from mark and how david was listening and what he says is because usually the cases reflect maddie and david's relationship. Is this a similar thing? i don't know, but it makes me feel a little better.

I have to see if i can think of some more.

p.s. thanks for starting the thread, kismet.

This is how I have to watch most of the fifth season, especially the last trilogy. Specific scenes only and sometimes only parts of scenes. I agree with the ones you listed. I like the scene in Eine Klein... with Maddie in the blue pajamas. It was my last hope they would get back together. I always love when they dance so that's one of the few parts of WGC I can watch. I also like the beginning of the last scene in WGC when Maddie says they've been a lot of things to each other, friends, lovers... I think she started to be honest with him (finally), but that scene went off track too, like so much of that season!

WOW! It just hit me that I have not watched any of the season 5 episodes except for the first half of Womb on the new DVD set, and the couch scene in In 'n Outlaws of course - which looked a little different to me. Did the camera pan up so much on Maddie in the original after Viola's character enters the room? I always thought that you could see more of her skirt.

I agree with CyBr that the dance between David and Maddie in WGC was a good one (quite sexy if you look closely at their positions). It's just that you have to get past THE COUSIN in order to enjoy it, and it's quite difficult to forget that she's in the same room with them.

Hi kismet , i think i know the reason why Cybill/Maddie gives David/Bruce that look.
Take a look at these still shots of that scene . Look where Davids/Bruces hand is.

Thinking it over there are quite a few scenes that i can watch without throwing up
I love the dance scene from WGC that you all mentioned, But i always have to fast forward or turn off when David dances with A***e . I also like the scene in Eine Kliene ...when Maddie goes into Davids office the morning after her run in with the `bad guy in the garage,It`s interesting the way David hugs Maddie , i like the way he runs his hand across and down Maddies back. .
Now this might sound weird but i can sit through the scene at the end of WGC , i like the way David is so at ease and familar with Maddie that he has no qualms undressing in front of her . ( Plus any scene with David stripped down to his boxers gets my vote!) . But seriously i know that this scene doesn`t turn out like we hoped but it is quite sensitive , the way Maddie is trying to bare her sole and explain her feelings to David and i always thought that if whats her name hadn`t turned up something might have transpired between our dueling duo.
( What the hell was A***e doing with a key to Davids apartment anyway!!)She barely knew him.

okay, so even though i really dread seeing d and a on screen together, i don't really mind the scene in Eine when they are in his room. she's sitting on his bed watching tv. it just makes me laugh becuase she looks like a teenager. and what is she watching? the love connection. i kind of get the feeling he's laughing at her during that part. she's too much of a goofball like he is. i don't really think he wants someone that also watches the love connection. he wants someone that is his equal and a***E is not it. maddie is. they are on the same level. he could never banter with the "evil cousin". (i like that one kismet)

btw, i heard a quote the other day that made me think of our duo. "God created us different, to understand our need for each other. "
