the cast seem a Little happier during the the 1979-80 season then the 77-78 and 78-79 season perhap it was that after 2 years of nearly being canceled due to failing Ratings that now the Ratings had finally return to the to 10 that made the cast happier that the Ratings had Gotten Much Better and knew They Did Not have To Worry about Cancellation and had new hope in the show.
anyone agree? |

Finally a Good post by you, Yes good Observation, I did notice that the Cast seemed to be more Happy during the season 6 episodes vs the 1977-78 Season. It seemed like everyone had this GLOW about them in that season |

That was a very good season for the show especially given that the show was six years old. Many series start getting stale and tired after five years. It did seem like a breath of fresh air was breathed into the cast and the show. The episode when Jenny announced she was pregnant was funny and touching. It was touching with her and George on the roof and they expressed how much they deeply appreciate each other. I was in tears in that one.
Roxie Roxer and Berlinda Tolbert were looking hot that season with their new hairstyles and dressed more flashier. Roxie has always been a sharp dresser on the show but more so in that season and beyond. |

The 6th season is my FAVORITE season. There is not one bad episode, unlike season 2 or season 4 (my opinion).
One thing I noticed, the team of Nicholl, Ross and West were no longer producing the show (check the opening credits). I think at the time, they were focusing more on Three's Company (at that time, in it's fourth season). The other thing I noticed was Jack Shea, the guy who directed the Jeffersons for its first five seasons, was replaced by Bob Lally. Bob continued to direct up until (I think) season 10. |
