Default New DVD artwork? Like it or don't like it?

Here is the link:

http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=7208

Me, I think they can do better. I think something along the lines of my avatar would be ideal. Also, what is that building in the background because it certainly isn't the Governor's mansion. It looks like something out of a Disney movie to me.

Note: Do not consider this complaining on my part--Believe me, I am glad they are releasing it at all--I just want to get some feedback and some discussion going on this.

I think they should have a picture where the rest of the cast is closer; Benson properly sitting in the chair as the lead.

And agreed, the building should look like, well, the Mansion. The one shown now is *so not* our familiar place.

But really I'll buy the set no matter what's on the cover!

Yeah, I like RG and all but that facial shot is just a little TOO big.

And of course I'd buy it no matter what. But they really should invest in a nicer cover. Pretty packaging sells!

its MEH but it doesn't really matter...

it looks like it was put together by someone who's never even SEEN the show, just had it described to them briefly.

I think something along the lines of Lisa's avatar would be better, but at least the show is on DVD. Maybe they can use something closer to the avatar if they release Season 2.

Yes, hopefully...considering Rene Auberjonois is in my avatar (and he didn't join the show until Season 2) that would probably make more sense.

And speaking of avatars, I love yours! A classic scene there.

Thank you Lisa! Sam and Darrin are my #1 favorite TV couple. Speaking of Rene A., he played a French psychologist on an episode of The Bob Newhart Show and was hysterical. Did you see it?

The building in the background looks like a state capital building to me. That's Funny they never showed the state capital on Benson. Any way I'm just happy to see Benson on DVD.

No I haven't but I would like to....from what I hear he was also in a "Jeffersons" episode and played a building inspector or something along those lines and I want to see that one too.

The name of the BNS episode is "Shrinks Across The Sea" and it aired in the fourth season, which is available on DVD. I'm sure you can rent it or check it out of your local library. He is a scream in the episode. Let me know when you see it!

Well now that they've changed the artwork and the general consensus is that the new artwork is much nicer, maybe this thread/poll should be closed.

Mods?
