Alice was late twice and was in a coma for her entire shift. It wasn't fair to Mel or the other girls. Alice should've understood that Mel is running a BUSINESS.

I have always stated that as long as Alice wasn't screwing up her job at Mel's, she could have another job. But she was not sleeping enough hours and it was affecting what she was paid to do at Mel's.

Exactly, I felt the same way too, but after seeing this episode, I totally understand where Mel was coming from.
