Default Were the girls WRONG?!?

In tonight's episode, "86 the waitresses," Alice, Vera and Flo went to the diner and gave the new waiter a real hard time. The guy was nice, yet they treated him like dirt. Does anybody agree???

They were wrong. It was not his fault that Mel was a sexist person and therefore, paying him more money.

It was wrong for the guy however, to mention how much money he was going to receive. I hate when people discuss wages at work.

I agree it was stupid of him to say his salary. I guess though, he thought everybody was being paid the same.

You are right. I would have felt uncomfortable if I was being paid MORE than the people who had been working there sometime. I missed some of the episode, did Alice tell the guy that he was paid more than the ladies or did she only take that up with Mel?

No, unless it was cut out. Alice freaked out, but didn't tell him anything. She went to Mel and complained.

At least there, she did the right thing. I mean, it wasn't the guy's fault, it was Mel's.

They were all wrong including Mel. Mel was lucky he didn't have a discrimination case against him. Telling Alice that men deserve more money. But Alice didn't have to quit for the rest of the women, and the gilrs definitely didn't have to treat that waiter that way. Mel, should have kicked them out.

No other diner's were ever mentioned, just fast food joints.
