TV Dates On A Sitcom

Going on dates on a sitcom can be an experience you just don't forget. Can you think of any funny or unusual dates that happened on your favorite shows?

Once on Laverne & Shirley, Laverne went on a date with this guy & he robbed a store during their date. This was a pretty funny episode.

How about the one in which Laverne is on a date and then finds out the guy is married. When his wife shows up, he pushes Laverne into a giant aquarium!

I don't recall alot of details but there was an episode of The Brady Bunch where Greg was punished for some reason and had to take Bobby along on his date. If I'm wrong on the details, Please make any necessary corrections.

Almost all of Mary and Rhoda's dates on MTM were legendary. Enough said.

Remember when Louie and Elaine went on a date on Taxi? The cabbies were on strike and Elaine was heading up the union, and only agreed to go out with Louie to settle the strike. She is repulsed when he wants a kiss goodnight and struggles to give him a tiny peck. Then he practically jumps her!! Marilu Henner wrote about the filming of this ep in her book. She said Danny DeVito did so much hilarious ad libbing in rehearsal it was impossible for her to keep from laughing. When the ep came to tape she wore a really tight uncomfortable pair of boots. The pain was so consuming that it made it impossible to laugh, and the taping went smoothly.

Hanging With Mr. Cooper saw Mark fixed up with a girl who had shaved her head completely bald. Vanessa ragged on him for having to date "George Foreman".

On The Bob Newhart Show, Carol had several bad dates. She nearly ran off with Howard, had a one night fling with Jerry, was roped into a date with a on overweight, hostile man from Bob's weight loss group, and went on one date with Mr. Carlin! The next day he proposed to her and said he had their life together all planned out. YIKES!

Whoa! I thought we were talking about dates on the calendar!

Is that what the original poster wanted?

On Taxi, Alex Reiger went on a blind date with an overweight woman who had a chip on her shoulder.

Bewitched-Serena wanting what Samantha has decides to date a mortal. Her date is really a Warlock, the fun begins when each tells the other their secret and they critisize the other on the way they use their witchcraft.

Happy Days-Ritchie goes on a double date with the Fonz, they date Laverne & Shirley. Shirley decks Ritchie while explaining what she and Laverne were fighting about.

Yes, I remember Alex dating Angela. She came back in another episode, having lost many pounds and made amends with Alex. She had found love with another man from her weight loss group. The end of that episode was classic (I won't spoil it)!

On WKRP, they have a contest to win a date with the DJ, and Johnny Fever picks someone named Kim. And of course Kim turns out to be a guy. Hilarious!

On Everybody Loves Raymond, Robert goes out on a date with his female police partner, Judy, who is very short and black. They go to a club and she wants to dance, so Robert finally agrees and then he really gets down. This episode always cracks me up.

Don't forget the ELR ep where Robert dated a girl who lied about her age. She was 19, he was 43. Ray and Debra's reactions were priceless. Then he dated the lady who ate a fly.
