Default What was Leon's purpose in series 6?

In one episode he came back as the health inspector to look at the diner but since i watched that episode on the DVD he's just been there working in the background and delivering some lines in other episodes. Did Leon start working for the diner off-screen?

Yes, I believe Rosanne's Mom sold her share of the diner to Leon.

Leon was a good character. He was the perfect foil for Rosanne.

Yep, in one of the early Season 6 episodes Roseanne and Jackie tell Bev they don't want her to work at the diner anymore, and she is heartbroken. Roseanne tells Bev that she should do something really mean and cruel to the girls so they don't have to feel guilty, so Bev decides to sell her share to Leon, who (luckily for us viewers,) stays on the show pretty much until the end of the series.

Martin Mull is awesome, I was glad when he was back on the show.

Leon was such a great character. I'm glad he stuck around too, and it was great that he got more screen time as the series went on.

Like everyone said, in an early season 6 episode Bev got pissed at the girls and sold her share to Leon....Maybe you skipped over that part. The scene was during the closing credits of the episode.

Yep, that was great. And as the years went by, they really did become friends....wether they'd admit it or not.

That was great how Bev got pissed and stuck it to the girls by selling to Leon. Serves them right for treating her like sh*t. Had they treated her with respect and dignity, they wouldn't have had to deal with Leon. Then again, I don't think they cared one way or the other. But it was a good move on Bev's part.
