Default One Tree Hill is RENEWED for S5

But will return Mid-Season or be brought back if another series fails quick. I dont mind this move as long as there are 22 episodes.

Mark Schwahn has revealed that there WILL be a fifth season, it will be based on the characters' lives after college, meaning the show will fast-forward four years into the future.
Shooting begins the first Monday in Aug

Leo Daniels is a regular extra, has worked on staff for OTH/fincannon, is the producer of the Bevin Prince movie "The Artifact". So I don't know what this does but it's a good sign since he ALWAYS knows when shooting is before anyone else!

This is indeed good news, it was expected but still good to hear.

As much as I love the show,I don't want it to come back.I believe that the series finale should just be them graduating and Haley & Karen having their babies. If they go with the idea for 5th season,it's going off the air during mid-season like The OC.Plus, how would the 5th season end?one of them moving away to a different state because of a job offering?Actually the reason OC went to 4th season is because they didn't want the show to end with Mariisa dieing?

But didnt you want OTH to be cancelled last season and look what happen this season, after a slow start this season so far has been a good one. I think one more season would be good because I wanna see Mark idea 4 years after college play out, and know what happen to each character after college.

Plus its The CW, the worst that can happen is if they cut OTH order and air 18-21 episodes but at least One Tree Hill would have aired over 100 episodes.

You said it in this thread http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/...d.php?t=163294

But in your defense, it was before the Season 3 Finale.

After the 4th Episode this season, I thought the same way I thought it was time to end One Tree Hill. But as each episode went it, the season got better and now Im glad there is going to be a 5th Season.

I'm not ready for OTH to be completely over. I'm glad they're fast forwarding the years for season 5. That will be a nice change!
