Anyone noticed the changes on the set in tonight's episode abt the flasher? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

First up, the telephone was now right by the bathrooms. It was no longer by the counter.

Second, the "bank" was no longer across the street. It was gone and now we see some kind of panoramic view.

As for Alice, she sure didn't look very good in tonight's episode. Her hair looked so terrible. Vera looked great. Flo had a different type of wig. It looked "neater" than the previous one she wore before.

I noticed all the changes too. It is weird for a set to change so much in it's second season.

Sure did. It would change one more time the following season (season 3-1978-79) with new wallpaper and the phone would move again to the wall beside the booth and front windows, which is where it remained until the series was cancelled in 1985.

The restroom door is now the Women's room, and the door in the area that was Mel's office (marked "Private") is now the Men's room. Also new wallpaper, and there'll be a backroom behind the kitchen later this season. 3rd season, the phone moves over to the same wall as the front door, and the wallpaper changes to more of a cowboy look. There were a few other minor changes, but those are the major ones

There are now blinds in place of curtains.

The booth by the door (on the left side) is now a much larger booth.

The tables are now light brown and not those cheap looking tables. They match the countertops.
