It says that Winnie went to study Art History in Paris and that they never forgot their promise: they wrote to each other every week for the next 8 years. he was there to meet her at the airport when she came home, with his wife and son 8 months old. They didn't end up together.

Watch the last five minutes of the show on youtube...

What a great show. I still cry at the end.

I have watched that clip of the last one over and over. I haven't even seen the full episode of it yet and it makes me cry.

I could always tell that Winnie and Kevin were never going to end up together. It was just the way the series was supposed to go. But, I was gladly surprised with the series finale, and how the writers ended it. It couldn't have been done better.

Yeah it could have been and especially how Dan Lauria in a recent interview said that independence day wasn't supossed to have been the last episode but ABC decided to cancel it anyways!

By that time ratings for the show were already out of the top #30, so I don't blame ABC for cancelling it, even though I wish it would have gone on another season.

I don't think the last episode could have been done better either. Even though Kevin and Winnie didn't end up together, it was a great ending to a great show.

They ended it because it was getting low in the ratings and Kevin was getting older and they had to use more places to film because Kevin drove and so it cost them alot of money. That is what they say on the Biography for it.

Why was Kevin driving so much? I stuck around the house and didn't start driving until I was in college (and got my first car after graduation, at that).
