Can you folks tell me of any notable occasions when 'Gilligan' was mentioned on other shows or movies. The only one I can think of offhand is 'Cast Away' but there certainly must be others.

In the 1993 movie Dazed and Confused. Some of the students are writing down all of the Gilligan's Island episodes they can think of.

The infamous ROSEANNE episode.

Also, on Survivor this past Sunday, a cast member mentioned how one of the other members is like the Professor from Gilligan's Island and how they used that to their advantage.

In the movie CASTAWAY Tom Hanks' character mentioned Gilligan's Island when he was talking to himself and mentioning how coconuts are a natural laxative.

There were Baywatch and ALF episodes. In an episode of Married with Children, Bud was helping Kelly study, explaining some part of history to her using the lines from the GI theme song, but I can't remember what.
