As for me, it's difficult for me to decide on a favorite as I could relate to all three girls. I am the oldest daughter like Katie, I was an awkward, somewhat nerdy teenager like Julie, and as a kid, I was an energetic tomboy like Samantha. So, if forced to make a choice, I would have to say Julie. However, like Lara Jill Miller, I look younger than I actually am (I'm 29 years old, but I look like I'm about 15 or 16) and am still energetic for my age!

I vote for Julie too. I think of all she was most complex of the three girls. I like how she went from awkward girl to young wife and mother. Every girl was good, but Julie was my favorite.

Hey kanisky7896,

I don't think Julie was a nerdy teenager for me she was the good girl the kind that a guy would bring home to meet his mom & dad. Now Katie was the kind girl that guys would like to take out for a good time to have some fun with. By the way i'm the same way i don't look my age.

Hey Chad,
When it came to Julie, I used the "nerdy" term loosely. By teenage standards, if one was highly intelligent and wore glasses, he or she would be considered a nerd. However, I don't think that Julie was a typical nerd, in that although she was highly intelligent, wore glasses, and was awkward, she was not a dork. Yes, you're right in saying that Julie was the good girl (the one with the most common sense) and the kind of girl that I guy would bring home to meet his parents. You have an excellent point there! As a matter of fact, that's probably where I can relate to Julie the most, because I am still just like Julie in that sense. I have high standards and I lower them for nobody!

Chad
Hey Chad,
Actually, although I do come from a loving home, my sister and I were raised by our mom (absentee father) in apartments and townhomes just outside of Washington, D.C.. Our parents split up when I was four and divorced when I was six. I have high standards because 1.) I am a Christian (I'm not pious or anything) and
2.) I have seen too many times what pre-marital sex and drugs and alcohol abuse have done to people (including some of my friends and family members). So, I decided that if I'm going to be successful in this world, I need to have high standards for myself. At this point, I can only take responsibility for my own life. I've always been my own person pretty much.

Yes, I do have GAB S2! I received my copy in October. I pre-ordered it back in September. The audio leaves something to be desired, as the volume on some episodes are lower than on others, but the video quality is great and all of the episodes are uncut and in order. You'll love it! Feel free to PM me anytime!

After having gone through all of the recent posts with a fine tooth comb, I still had time on my hands! My sleep disorder is acting up (yet again) and I do not feel like turning in. Because of this, a came to the forth page of this board. Although I had read all of these responses once upon a time, I decided to reaquaint myself with them. Some of them are very interesting! In any event, my favorite of the girls is definatley Julie! I grew up having the hugest crush on her! The time that I fell for her the hardest was in "Katie Steals Julie Jock". I thought that those boots that she had on were to die for! My second favorite time looking at a listening to her is in "Samantha's Protest". I thought she was a knockout in that long blue skirt! I also thought that her behavior in that episode was priceless!

I can't believe I missed this poll.
I would have voted for Samantha.
My second choice would be Julie.

All over this page, I have started threads and responded to other peoples' messages about how crazy I was about Julie! Lauri Hendler is a wonderful actress and she played a one-of-a-kind girl on this sereis! I am very happy to see that the last respondee to this thread is another Julie fan. I would be very interested in reading what exactly he or she liked about her!

I have decided that, before turning in the for the night, I would take one more stab at bringing an old thread to the top of this page. I will be back in about an hour to see if any of my efforts this evening have generated a response!
