(The Ottawa Senators beat the NJ Devils 3-2.)

(Ralph is shown being upset in his apartment.)

Ralph: "Well, my dream of a cross-town series in the next round of the NHL playoffs is almost over. Those Devils had to lose to the Senators tonight."

Alice: "Ralph, they can still advance. They just have to win the next three games."

Ralph: "Alice, do you know how hard it is to do that? How many teams have come back after facing those odds?"

Alice: "Ralph, you got to think positive."

Ralph: "Okay, I am positive that the Devils am going to lose."

Alice: "When are they playing next?"

Ralph: "Their last playing date will be this Saturday. I am hopeful that they will win. If they don't, I am going to march over to Continental Arean and yell at them."

Alice: "Ralph, if tyou do that, you wil go to jail."

Ralph: "At least, I will get my point across."

(Ed comes down.)

Ed: "Hey Ralph."

Ralph: "Hello Norton!"

Ed: "I am sure you heard the bad news. Take a look at ti this way. You got to cheer up. You got smile. It's easy to smile when things are going good. Now, it's a challenge. Let me see you smile there. Show me the teeth. Smile!"

(Ralph smiles.)

Ed: "That is the way I want to look at you. Even if the Devils don't win another Cup. Even if they never win a Cup."

Ralph (yells): "HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO SMILE WHEN YOU TALK LIKE THAT?"

Ed: "It's easy. Just think of all the other great teams that deserve the Cup."

Ralph (yells): "ALL RIGHT NORTON! PUT 'EM UP YOU TRAITOR! PUT 'EM UP!"

(Ralph has his fists readay as Alice is trying to separate the two as the scene ends.)

(Jackie Gleason walks on stage.)

Jackie: "Folks, it's time to introduce the cast. First, Audrey Meadows."

(Audrey comes out and kisses Jackie.)

Jackie (yells): "AND ART CARNEY!"

(Art comes out an shakes Jack's hand.)

Jackie (yells): "GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE!"
