One thing D.J. surely punished for - the samples (& relating that to the chimp post)

There are still people who complain that Michelle got away with the samples? Well, she couldn't have.

I'm looking at "The Wedding, Part 2," and she reaches out to just touch that cake very delicately like any good child would, with great self control. Then, when D.J. walks in, she holds up her hands and says, "Just looking" like she knows D.J. would be checking on her to make sure; and to see if there was any icing on her hands.

So, it may well have been D.J. punishing her after Steph runs in and tells her what happened; she wasn't in the kitchen when Michelle did it. Danny's so calm, she comes in after Michelle's bath and lectures. (and perhaps Danny's blaming himself for not stopping her.) And, this isn't just speculation - we know something *had* to happen for her to react this way to the wedding cake. We just don't know what.

BTW, this would be very soon after Jesse was daycare helper for a week (which was the week after "A Pinch For A Pinch."). Good bet that helped to reduce her self control around the samples, IMO.

Anyway, as stated, something had to happen for Michelle to have such good control. A tummyache would certainly come from the samples , but D.J. had to lecture harshly, too, and put her in timeout, most likely. And, even that might not be enough for D.J. to be sure she woudln't ruin the cake, though it would intimidate Michelle quite a bit and probably work to stop futture behvior like that. So, I dont' think she could have mentioned it right then.

As noted, it's quite likely Michelle knew the concept of being spanked for being a "bad boy/girl," at least. Perhaps this is why - when the chimp is hitting Jesse - Jesse says, "Was *Uncle* Jesse a bad boy," as if he thinks Becky is being frisky and impoersonating one of the girls playing. If for nothing else, D.J. might well have instructed Michelle about how special the wedding is, and just what she would do if Michelle ruined that cake.

As stated int he other posts, D.J. wouldn't hurt her anywhere but her feelings - but Michelle wouldn't know that. However you think she punished for the samples, even if she didn't bring up the notion of spanking for the wedding cake (and it's also possible she didn't, though many seem to think she at least mentioned it was possible), it's certain that Michelle at least got punished for the samples, or she would have done it again.

(Note: She only digs into the cake after Teddys' arms has been in it, thus ruining it. And, int he "real Tanner family history" that may not have happened.)
