Talking Rosie Reveals Why She's Leaving The View

From perezhilton.com, she said it in her video blog. Damnn was I right

It's all about money!

Though the official reason that ABC gave in terms of Rosie O'Donnell's departure from The View was that they couldn't come to terms as to a time agreement - they wanted her to resign for three years, she wants one - the departing co-host revealed in this video blog on her website yesterday that the real reason for her split was financial.

She's never one to censor herself. We love it!

O'Donnell wanted a one-year contract for $10 million. ABC wanted to sign her for three years at a price of $6 million.

That's a HUGE discrepancy!

Says Rosie in her post, "I know it seems unbearably greedy to people, but considering what they made this year....That's what happened and they said no. I feel like if you make a big offer like that, it's kind of like poker. If you're gonna raise to ten million and they're gonna see you're ten million, you're gonna have to show up."

And there you have it folks!

O'Donnell also reveals in her Monday video blog that if she could pick someone to replace her it would be Whoopi Goldberg.

Inneresting choice.

With the timing of the announcement I still think it had something to do with her "performance" at that media awards a couple of weeks ago and how she went right over the edge with that massive mouth of hers.

I just hope she fades back into oblivia and keeps her yap shut for a while.

Both sides on playing the PC card to save face on this deal.

Exactly!

She embarrassed the cr*p outta them (ABC and Walters) period. Ratings are one thing, but she's just got verbal diarrhea and it got out of hand. ABC touts itself as the "Family Channel" (who even censors some camera views on Dancing With The Stars ) so they couldn't have a potty-mouthed, loose cannon around much longer. Good riddence Rosie!!

If Rosie says it, well it must be true.

If she were fired she'd be bitching up a storm getting all the publicity she could for it.

Not necessarily - a lot of times the execs know to cover their a$$e$ and make her sign a confidentiality agreement not to badmouth - then they pay her off a certain sum of money. Happens ALL the time in business in severance agreements. Trust me, she'll find a way to get enough publicity.

If she's THAT great, why isn't anyone running to sign her up for her own show again?

(and don't get me wrong, I used to think Rosie was great, but she's just gone overboard with sticking her nose in other peoples' business. I couldn't believe that she's the one who actually outed Clay Aiken - being gay herself and taking quite a while to come out of the closet, she should have known better - some "friend" she turned out to be to Clay.)

For the last time, ABC came up with a CREATIVE WAY to get rid of Rosie, and that Both sides would be Satisfied. They know they couldn't just say YOU"RE FIRED unless she said something really wild
