Hey Guys,

Here is a rare treat from TV Party: It's the original extended AITF Theme Song with extended lyrics:

Not to mention highlights from the Fall 1972 season.

Notice that several verses have been added and instead of "Guys like us, we had it made," it was "Guys Like me we had it made." Click on the All in The Family Link to hear the original theme song! (Real Player Required.)

Questions: How long did this original song last, and when was it shortened to the theme that runs on syndication and TV Land today? Is the extended song what appears on the appropriate seasons DVD's?

I think that was recorded specifically for the album. The show never had the extended theme in it. It did, however, have the lyrics at the beginning for the end theme in the first season.
