Lucille Ball featured on PBS American Masters...anyone else catch this documentary? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I have seen this documentary twice and it is extraordinary. It has clips of Lucy on the Dick Cavett show talking abt the infamous grape scene in I Love Lucy...she tells the story and she goes into detail how she slipped in the vat and it appeared she kicked the italian grape stomper when it was actually an accident. The grape stomper took offense to that and really let Lucy have it.

As you know, we seen one of the best scenes in ILL history, if not in all of television.

It really is something every Lucille Ball fan should watch.

I saw this documentary and I thought it was very good.

Wow! That kick in the rear looked like it was in the script!! Either way it was so hilarious! I love that part!

That special is available under the title of 'Finding Lucy'; very good documentary to have.

I've seen it a couple of times, and it is indeed a well-made show. A must for anyone who loves Lucy!!
