Default Do you think the Episode-"George and Louise in a Bind" was Incomplete???

After Florence Discovers Louise and George Tied up in the Kitchen, she was telling them how MESSY the living room was from the Burglar but we the Viewers never got to see the Living Room after Florence mentioned it. Florence just unties louise, George is left in the kitchen and that's it-lol

Incomplete?

Can we guess what could've been edited out of the three-part episode?

I think one scene could've been a clip with Bentley, because they started to talk about him. I think this was the second or third episode.

One thing I can't stand about butchered two or three part episodes from that era is when they just freeze it and use a different font for the closing credits. It looks unnatural. Remember how they did this to the two and three-parters for the season 1 and 2 Diff'rent Strokes episodes?

Louise mentioned Bentley.

Something to the effect of "when we first met him he was so nice!!"

I definately see an edit there...you would've thought they'd show a selection of scenes with Bentley on there.

Also notice after the scene where George and Louise are leaving their old house in Queens, the scene goes back to George and Louise tied up in the kitchen, then it goes back to Louise in the Kitchen in Queens, then back to the kitchen in the apartment (with them tied up again).

BTW, I don't remember them mentioning Mother Jefferson and showing her "moments".

I remember that weird edit; I thought there was something wrong with my eyes...LOL

Did anyone pick up any other possible missing scenes?

In terms of picture quality and bad syndication editing, I would have to say of all of the Jefferson episodes this three-parter wins the "episode in the poorest condition" award.

OK....I'm watched the three-parter to try to figure out what I think may be missing from each episode.

For all three episodes, the second set of ending credits (cast, hairdresser, etc.) are missing footage where it says "A T.A.T Communications Company production in association with NRW productions"

Part I:
1:03 After they show George and Louise sitting on the couch and right before they show the opening credits, they show them tied-up in the kitchen trying to move back-to-back. if you look really carefully, Louise starts talking but the opening theme song drowns it out

2:12 After the opening credits, it looks like another edit was made because you see George laughing on the couch and Florence walking away right before Louise comes back with the earrings for her date. I'm guessing that he made a joke about Florence's date because when she came back to the house (after being stood up) and untied the Jeffersons, George told her "well you said he was smart"

The ending was frozen and had the 1st set of ending credits (directors, writers, etc) attached to them (approximately 23 seconds is added onto each episode)

Side Note:
13:17 This is not an edit, but notice that when they show the piano episode clip when Florence is crawling under it; look in the background, and you'll see Mike Evans...lol

Part II:
It looks like before the opening credits, some footage was removed, maybe some clips from the first episode (example: "...last week on the Jeffersons). I say this because when the opening credits looked like it may have had one or two seconds shaved off

10:53 After George says (about Florence) "...yea now nobody could tell her nothing", there's a jumpcut to a shot from a different angle. I'm guessing they showed some clips of her badmouthing George

11:19 After the commercial break, it looks like a few seconds were shaved off here because you hear someone in the audience laughing before George exhales hard and says "ok Wheezy it looks like we'll have to do it all by ourselves...let's work on these ropes"

20:40 The scene in Queens where George hands Louise the box and while she turns around, it jumps to them being tied up in the kitchen, then it jumps back to Louise with the box turning around and then fades to them back into the kitchen. AWFUL EDIT.
That clip of them being tied up in-between the All In The Family scene was totally unecessary.

20:59 Remember that unecessary clip of George and Louise being tied up? It's the same shot here; that's where they got it from

The ending was frozen and had the 1st set of ending credits (directors, writers, etc) attached to them (approximately 23 seconds is added onto each episode)

Side Note:
2:50 I noticed this scene where they talked about Archie when he was missing (to my knowledge) was never shown on syndicated prints of All In The Family

Part III:
It looks like before the opening credits, some footage was removed, maybe some clips from the first episode (example: "...last week on the Jeffersons). I say this because when the opening credits looked like it may have had one or two seconds shaved off

3:41 They start talking about Bentley being the first neighbor they met and how nice (and weird) he is. There was definitely some clips edited from here

8:24 After the "parcel post" gag from All In The Family, and before the graduation clip, it looks like there could've been another clip, but it was edited out to save time

10:28 It looks like a clip could've been edited out right before the Willis' dancing scene when Louise starts talking about problems Lionel and Jenny had along the way

13:34 It looks like the wedding ceremony clip was short because the reverend almost didn't have a chance to finish his sentence "I just performed the ceremony"

13:51 After the commercial break, it looks like some dialogue was missing because George ahs a puzzled look on his face then Louise says "remember your old navy buddy"? I'm guessing that based on the Louis Gosett Jr. scene, maybe George told her how attractive she was and Louise said something about how guys made passes at her

16:29 I think the last part of that first scene with George and Lionel at he bar was cut short, since the second scene is from the same episode.

Check it guys for yourselves and see what you think!!!
