Im always hearing about how the brady bunch is the most popular of sherwoods shows and I agree it is very popular but Gilligans island it seems to me is atleast as popular, I love the bradys don't get me wrong but GI is I think the better of the 2. But thats just my opinion.

I've always liked Gilligan's Island better. For a few reasons:
- Mary Ann!
- An exotic island location; more variety in plots
- The professor was more interesting than Mike Brady

"Gilligan" also did better in the ratings... it came in at #19 for its first season (1964-'65) and #22 for its second season (1965-'66). The Brady Bunch never made the top 25 for any of its seasons.

Both were wonderful shows but I like Gilligans Island the best.

GI of course, but I am still a Brady Bunch fan, in fact I saw the Brady Bunch about 5 years before I even saw GI.

I like both shows, but my nod of approval goes to The Brady Bunch. I think overall The Brady Bunch had better writing. The writing in Gilligan's Island left a bit to be desired, the episodes are mostly on the goofy side and the story lines are weak. The main appeal of Gilligan's Island is the island setting and the memorable cast of characters. The Brady Bunch has the unique family angle, and generally the episodes were pretty well written.
