Fox Impounds Drive - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Fox is pulling "Drive" from its lineup after the drama got disappointing ratings in first four outings, says Variety.

Despite decent reviews, "Drive" quickly stalled, averaging just a 2.3 rating and 6 share among adults 18-49, and 5.6 million viewers overall.

Monday night's "Drive" didn't help matters, coming in fifth place for the hour (1.5/5) and driving "24" to record lows, dropping Fox to fourth for the night.

Having shoved a Denver boot on "Drive," Fox has now gassed up "House" repeats in the Monday 8 p.m. slot.

Net is still mulling whether to burn off the last two remaining episodes of "Drive" on air, or stream the final episodes online.

i was enjoying the show - i don't see how FOX could really expect it to do that well, they didn't promote it at ALL - I had never heard of the show before I just happened to catch the premiere episode.

I remember it being advertised, FOX should have found a better timeslot for the show and given it a chance.

FOX should of gave it a good lead in.. it would of helped. I would of moved new episodes of House to Monday at 8 to help out 24 and give Drive the post Idol slot thats what I would of done.
