Question Does anyone else here HATE the heat?

I despise the heat with a passion.

I always loved it when I was on vacation or at a beach, pool or whatever...but for everyday living, I just hate it. When I used to work, even though my work and car had AC, the heat was still everywhere else.

Monday, it was almost 90 degrees here, and we haven't put our ACs and fans out yet, so it was awful. I felt anxious and stressed. Today, it's a cool 55, and I'm loving it.

Is there anyone else who hates the heat as much as I do? It gives me a feeling of almost claustrophia or something. I've been this way my entire adult life. I'm dreading this summer, as always

Who's with me here?

I actually dont mind it at all. I cant wait to spend my summer sweating in the nice and hot heat at the beach. Although the heat here on the island in the summer isn't comparable to say Florida's. Last August we went to Orlando at times it was unbearable.

My husband's sister loves the heat. It can't get hot enough for her. She even loves the humidity. That always struck me as strange, but to each his own I guess.

I love the heat. I can't handle cold weather. The slightest chill makes me cranky.

Humidity rarely bothers me, unless I'm on the coast.

Give me a 105 degree day over a 35 degree day, and I'm a happy camper!

In the summer, I rarely use the AC.

Sounds like Heaven. Can I live with you?

My brother is like me...he hates the heat, but hates the brutual New England winters here even more. Early last year, he moved to San Diego, and he loves it. I give him a lot of credit. He's 37. He got a job transfer. He didn't know a soul out there, but he took the plunge. He's made a lot of friends there. A brave move on his part, I think. I do miss him though, a lot.

He's coming back for a few weeks next month, and staying with us for a
week. I haven't seen him in 15 months, so I'm excited about it.

You really need to express your feelings a bit more. Are you saying the heat bothers you?

I LOVE THE HEAT, BRING IT ON BABY, BRING IT ON. We are having a very warm day and it is expected to get HOTTER EACH DAY TIL SUNDAY!!!! Whoo Hoo...

Tara, aren't you forgetting our BLAZING HEAT THIS PAST SUMMER? Even though we are right here on the beach, it was HOT HOT HOT!!!!!!

Las Vegas heat is much better. It's a dry heat, not humid like here.

Last summer here was like living in hell, I swear. It actually got to 112 one day here in my city - the thermostat cracked 100 here many times, and it was rarely ever under 90 from May through July of last year. The temps in South Dakota were horrible, though... One town there actually cracked 120 degrees. It was horribly DRY heat. I think I would've been more comfortable in the Death Valley last summer, lol.

I don't mind the hot temps so much otherwise, though. I live in an area where I feel the extremes every year - extreme low and extreme high temps. So I'm used to it.

You may want to reconsider Death Valley.
Last summer, the Max/Min temps for the following two days were:

July 24-------- 126/100
July 25-------- 125/102

well, the ideal weather is obviously in the 70s, but i'd take the heat over the cold ANY day.

I don't care for the heat & humidity either, and it can get really bad here in July & August. I always want to go somewhere cool in those months.

I hate summer. And I love in Texas where we get 6 months of hot summer weather.
