Default Did anyone else catch Jeff Conaway and his behavior last night on the TVLand awards?

MY GOD, this guy really needs to get his life together. When he was on Celebrity Fit Club, he had a bag full of prescriptions. He was under the influence and falling asleep during one of the games. He even bursted out in anger on the show, not once but a few times.

Well, last night at the TVLand awards it was apparent with his slurred speech and odd behavior he has not taken that step to rehabilitate himself. So sad.
He looked hunched over and his eyes were trying to stay open while he talked.

That is so sad to hear. I guess early fame and a stagnant career led to his problems. He should've never left Taxi.

I saw on one of the entertainment shows that he didn't have time to talk originally when they all went up on stage and he got upset so they let him come back and talk. It is a shame that he doesn't get himself together, he was sooo good looking back in the day.

It was very sad to watch. To see "Bobby Wheeler" like that, remembering all the funny moments from the show. But the show aside, he's a human being and it's obvious that he needs help. And I sincerely hope he gets it.

With that said, at least he showed up. Showing that he's proud to be a part of "Taxi."

I wish Randy Carver had spoke. I always liked John Burns, even though I know most fans didn't like him. I imagine he did say something but it was cut out. Why else would he be there and then not be able to speak.

I am glad you mentioned this. After watching last night, I have been searching the web to see if I missed something. I thought maybe he had an illness or accident I didn't hear about. It was so disturbing to see how he had aged, but then when he talked and barely made it off stage, I figured something must have happened to him.

Yes, it is disturbing. I was shocked when I seen him on Celebrity Fit Club behaving the way he did. When his personal gym bag was opened and all these pill bottles were shown I was like "that is sad". It explained a lot of why he was acting the way he was, but still, it shows what can happen to anyone. No one is immune.

I have to agree. He was such a good looking guy back in the day and to see him slurring his speech and looking so sad breaks my heart. I really hope he gets it together. It's been a while since the Celeb. Fit club showed him. I just hope he sees himself on TV and gets help.

That's sad.
When I saw that, I thought he'd had a stroke or something.

In terms of the cast being together, it was weird seeing him that way because on the show Bobby Wheeler was so energetic. It was very sad to watch.

I was thinking about his career. And no he hasn't done a lot of stuff, but what he has done has always been popular: Taxi, Grease and Babylon 5.

You'd think after seeing what drugs did to the character of Reverend Jim, it would make people think. Yes it's funny on a sitcom (and ONLY on a sitcom) but drugs are obviously harmful. You got that everybody!

Another thing I didn't like about the awards show, was that while Jeff was talking, the cast walked away. He didn't know it and was saying what a great cast the show had and he had his arm in the direction where they were, thinking he was gesturing to them. Why'd they walk away?

I think we, the fans need to have an intervention with Jeff Conaway via fan letters.... that's a joke, but if anyone has his address, what the heck, let's do it.

I'm sorry to hear it too. What a shame.
