Default This website won't stop sending me emails!

I keep getting unbelievable amounts of spam email from this site called ShoppersSavingsSpree.com. Occasionally on the internet I like to go to sites and request for free samples- normally it always works fine. I get my free sample and the company will send me one or 2 emails and then I'll unsubscribe. Fine. Honestly I don't even remember WHY I was at this site or why I gave my email. I did a few months back request to not get anymore emails and it said it would take 4 to 6 weeks. Well, I obviously am still getting these. Now I click on the site again and the site doesn't even exist anymore. So they're just going to keep sending me emails and there's nothing I can do about it. Of course it's partially my fault for giving my email in the first place, but NOTHING like this has happened before. Has anyone ever heard of this site or had the same problem. I get these emails (selling anything and everything) in my bulk mailbox AND my regular inbox. I always delete them but boy is is annoying. Of course it could be worse like I could've gave them money, but it's still annoying just to get several hundred of these email per day. What should I do?

Your E-mail provider should have an option to block mail from certain websites or domains. I have a hotmail account and it's one feature I really like.

I keep trying to block US Search. For the last 3+ years, I get messages from them every week, no matter how much I press "spam" on my account. How can I get them to stop emailing me??

I don't know who you're E-mail provider is but here's how you can block any sender with Hotmail.

Click options at the top of the page
Click Junk Mail Protector then block senders
Type in the sender's address then click ok.

Hmm, I never thought about blocking the address. I should try that.

Default shopperssavingsspree.com - How To Unsubscribe

I, too, have been having the same problem with this company, and with another company by the name of "MySavingsNow.net" (which I discovered shares the same physical address in Pennsylvania).

I found your plea for help when I googled the company. I discovered, as you did, that (apparently) their website no longer existed.

So, I began "clicking" on various "hits" from my google search until I found the site "AboutUs.org. It apparently has some connection to "Wikipedia," as it is a "Wiki" site.

If you will go to this site, type "shopperssavingsspree.com" into the "Search" field at the top of the page, then...

..."click" to begin the search, a page will load which contains a pale green field entitled "Website Information" (it will be located at the bottom of your monitor's screen), and then...

...within that pale green field you will see a button/icon that reads, "Visit Website"...

...Click on it, and a "shopperssavingsspree" page will load. NOTE: It is NOT their website (i.e. a dot.com, or dot.net etc.), but it does allow you to "Unsubscribe."

What you have to do is this:

...on that page you will be asked for your e-mail address. Type it in, then...

...click "Next," and a page will load that contains a rectangular box which is entitled "Please provide your shipping information" (they are trying to "give" you a "Free" canvas shopping bag with their logo on it), and contains fields for entering your name, address, e-mail, telephone etc. ostensibly for the purpose of mailing the bag to you...

Ignore/skip this, and then...

...scroll down to directly below the personal information fields, and...

there you will see a "Contact Us" button/icon, then...

...click on it, and a "Contact Us" "window" will appear...

...in that window will be box containing the following field/list...

..."Please Select A Question From the List"...

...click on it, and you will be presented with two questions (topics, actually)...

...they are 1) my question is not listed, here, and 2) remove my e-mail address (unsubscribe), then...

...click on that one, then...

...click "Submit," then...

...a new window appears on top of the "Contact Us" window...

...that window has a "Click Here to Unsubscribe" link...

...click it, and a new (final) window will appear that contains a box/field where you will enter your e-mail address, then...

...click "Submit," and YOU ARE FINALLY DONE.

It's actually much easier/faster doing it than it takes to write - or even READ - what I have written, above. So, do not be daunted by the lengthy write-up I have provided.

I just took all the above actions immediately prior to writing this to you, and after completing the last "Submit" click, a message popped up which informed me it could take up to ten business days before my e-mail address was removed from their records/mailing list.

So, you're welcome. : -) I'd suggest that you save my write-up/explanation, and that you keep it handy for the time when you see someone asking the same question that you asked for this site AND/OR the other "sister" site I mentioned at the beginning of this explanation - MySavingsNow.net. When you see one, just send them my already-composed, detailed, and superbly well-written instructions. : -) It'll save you the thirty minutes I spent writing it, and going back and forth from here to AboutUs.org, and the shopperssavingsspree.com area to get the specifics of what you find when you click from place to place. Capiche?

Peace, zenovice

If you can, I'd also look up the network provider for the host and forward the entire e-mails (including headers) to that network's abuse address.

It irks me so much whenever I request to be taken off a list, whether it be an e-mail list or a call list, then they tell me it'll take 4 to 6 weeks. I ask them why should it take that long, just take me off the list!! Just go on your computer, pull up my name, and push delete. I don't understand why they have to go through so much.

They say that's the way they do it.

I hope things work out for you. Several hundred e-mails in a day??!!

A while back I started getting a bunch of e-mails from porn sites. I'm thinking where did this come from?!! I never logged on to any porn sites to prompt this. Thankfully it wasn't so bad to where I was getting several hundred a day!!

That's how I get rid of spam too. If I keep getting spam emails from the same address, I just block that address.
