Cool Favorite Buffyverse Characters

Okay, here's the place to vote for, and talk about your favorite Buffyverse characters from "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" and "Angel!" There are multiple answers to the poll question, so go wild! Also, if you feel the need to, please elaborate on your choices. Enjoy! Here's mine:

1. Buffy: "From now on, every woman who CAN have the power, WILL have the power...CAN stand up, WILL stand up. Make your choice. Are you ready to be strong?" I love Buffy, what can I say?

2. Doyle: "If you need help, then look no further. Angel Investigations is the *best.* Our rats are low...It says "rats." Sorry. Our rates are low, but our standards are high. When the chips are down, and you're at the end of your rope, you need someone you can count on. And that's what you'll find here. Someone who'll go all the way, who'll protect you no matter what. So don't lose hope. Come on over to our offices, and you'll see there's still heroes left in this world. Is that it? Am I done?" I'll forever miss Doyle and Glenn Quinn.

3. Willow: "I'm a blood-sucking fiend! Look at my outfit!" Willow was such a great character whom I loved!

4. Tara "Tara:My mom died when I was seventeen. Buffy: Was it sudden? Tara: No...and yes. Its always sudden." I still miss Tara. She and Willow were soulmates.

5. Giles: "Yes, its terribly simple. The good guys are slways stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or their black hats, and we always defeat them and save the day. Nobody ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after." I love Giles. Instead of making a know-it-all teacher type, they created a real character.

6. Spike: "In all my years, I've only been sure of one thing. You're the one, Buffy." Spike was just such an awesome character, I relished every moment he was onscreen.

7. Cordelia: "Doyle pissed me off so righteously going out like that. But he knew. First soldier down." Cordy became a really great character, and I always loved her humorous comebacks.

8. Anya: "Because I don't understand! I don't understand how this all happens, how we go through this! And I knew her, now she's just a body, and I don't understand why she just can't get back in it! Its stupid! Its mortal and stupid! Xander's crying and not talking, and I was having fruit punch, and I thought, Joyce will never have any more fruit punch, and she'll never have eggs, or yawn, or brush her hair, not ever. And nobody will explain to me why!" I adored Anya. Her bluntness was a real treat.

9. Oz: "I am my thoughts. If they exist in her, Buffy contains everything that is me and she becomes me. I cease to exist." I really loved the Oz character. He was so very laid back.

10. Faith: "Five by five." The bad slayer. I loved Faith!

Thumbs up

I voted for a lot! LOL.....

Buffy* She's just great. One of the best characters to ever on TV, IMO. I liked that she wasn't the goodie*goodie straight*A student, like a lot of lead characters are. She was flawed. It made her seem all the more real. And I loved how she used to mess up the names of the demons. She was funny.

Willow* My favorite character. She changed the most over the 7 years.

Xander* Well, because he's Xander. How could you not like the guy?

Cordelia* She's another one that developed A LOT over the course of her 7 years on the 2 shows. She's by far my favorite Angel character. She was hott!, bitchy, smart, sassy, hysterical, and at times, had very dramatic storylines. Like Sarah Michelle Gellar, and most of the casts`, Charisma Carpenter could play any kind of story that was given to her.

Darla* One of my favorites, because she made me really feel bad for her, when she was turned human again, and had the illness. It was great how in one episode she made me fall in love with her, and in the next episode she made me love to hate her. She was a great villain. I wish we could have seen more of her evil ways.

I also voted for Angel, Giles, Joyce, Oz, Wesley, Tara, Anya, Fred, Drusilla, and Riley (yes, I said Riley!).

As for the others, I also LOVED Glory, Jenny, Johnathan, Andrew, and Harmony.

Let's see -

Willow, Cordelia, Faith, Xander, Giles

Willow because I love geeky characters, and she was an uber-geek. With the ferocious soul of a lioness.

Cordy because her character grew the most during the run of the two series. Plus the fact that even when the character was mostly just annoying and shallow, she still had the best zingers.

Faith because the character had such a dark center, yet ultimately chose to fight on the side of good. Plus some of SMG's best performances were brought out by Eliza D. And she was/is incredibly hot (so I'm a guy )

Xander because he had no "superpowers" yet always stood by his friends. In many ways, he was the human heart of the group, and the show, because of that. He was the "everyman" of the story, except that most of us don't fall for vampire slayers, Inca mummy girls, giant praying mantises...

Giles because he is, well, *Giles.* Duh.

Honorable mention: Anya. The most underwritten character on the show was played by the most well-rounded performer (see Emma in "Once More With Feeling"). She had to learn what it meant to be human, which would have made the character best suited to build a spin off around. If only Joss hadn't killed her off in the finale.

Note: I liked most of the other regular characters, even Dawn (hanging head in shame, but watch "The Body" in season 5. I bought into the character's legitimacy in the Buffy-verse because of that ep.) These were the ones that were my favorites creatively, though.
