No I missed it, What Made mel do that? The last ep I saw was Part one of When Alice's Mother came to Visit

Mel had a fine girlfriend in Marie, I don't know why he wanted to have sex with Alice. She had an appeal, but wasn't swift enough for what Mel wanted.

Marie won't appear until the 2nd season episode "Single Belles" (well, the actress anyway...she's not credited, nor is her name mentioned). Not long after that. She's actually shown going out with Mel in the 3rd season episode "Sweet Charity"

I have a full episode guide I wrote back when I first got E! (when it was airing Alice back in the mid 90's) I also noted first time appearances of recurring characters, so it was easy for me to go back and find her appearances
