used to Date her mother?? Watching "Like Mother Like Daughter" and it is just beyond Crazy to date a man who used to date your mom. I see Carol was all screwed up in the head-lol

BTW: His age was never revealed, it was just mentioned that he was OLDER

Ugh....That was nasty. I liked how Maude kept making his age go up, but not revealing what it really was.....I understand you can't control who you like, but someone who dated your mother!?!?....It should be even more nasty on his part, since he probably knew Carol when she was a little kid.

That is like MacKenzie Phillips (Julie-One Day At A Time) being leered at by Mick Jagger from age 10 only to have him wait until she is 18 and then seduce her and to say that he has waited for that moment since she was 10 years old. Well dating a guy your mom dated is kinda weird.

But, in fairness, it really depends on the circumstances.

If there aren't any extraordinary ones, it is then VERY weird.

She was around my age when she was dating guys old enough to be her father or even grandfather. When women her age start going out with men old enough to be father they has some serious daddy issues. I think Carol might of been a gold digger because guys around her age back then and now don't have a lot of money to spend. They're paying off their college loans and ton of bills.

I keep reading about how "nasty" it was for Carol to date her mom's ex. But actually, it's no bigger a deal than having sex with any other consenting adult. By it's very nature, sex is indeed NASTY. So it's not any less nasty if he had never been Maude's boyfriend before he became Carol's. Sex is gonna be physically NASTY no matter who it's between. Period.
