Wonder why CBS didn't air "Maude Meets Florida" First in the Fall of 1972 - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Watching the DVD and its clear that the Florida Meets Maude ep was the first one produced because in the first episode on Disc 1-"Maude's Problem, you see Maude's scene right after Florida left the house at the opening credits.

It might have been the first produced, but it wasn't the first that aired.

Yeah I know, I just felt airing Maude Meets Florida would have better way to kick off the season

I disagree. It would be good to show Maude struggle with home life a little before introducing a maid.
