Hi everyone (ChrystalDawn you may be able to help here!)
Recently I saw an episode (its not on CD's UM Fav's as far as I can tell so far) about a man who was in the military ( i think) and the family were told a few years that he died. Then there was a picture posted somewhere and the family were sure it was him...years past and the sister swore she saw him driving next to her on a freeway a couple of times, and once he got out at a gas station and said something like "its a nice day isnt it". She then saw him again at a park leaning against a toilet block looking at her while she was with her children. The family thought he may have been in a secret goverment role, and they found lots of conflicting stories about his so called "death" Anyone remember this??? |

thanks CD! you are correct!
It was such a strange case...do you think it was him trying to contact his sister? She certainly seemed to think so. |

This is one of my all time favorite UM episodes, almost a ghost story except in this instance a real person is involved.
What makes this missing person case different from other UM episdoes is the fact that Kurt's sister saw him not once, but three times!! Mistaken identity can happen once, maybe even twice, but three times???....Im not so sure. For this reason, I tend to believe her, she may have seen her brother. As for the possibility of a government conspiracy, Im not convinced. It certainly makes the story more interesting but Im not big on conspiracy theories in general. (The Danny Casolaro incident is an expection) The US government would have alot of explaining to do if they were in fact trying to conceal Kurt's identity and hide him from his family. Its just to big of a risk for them to take. What then did happen to Kurt? Does anyone think Kurt voluntarily disappeared and is now trying to contact his sister? Did he have some kind of mental breakdown? Or is this is a case of mistaken identity and Kurt, sadly, is dead? What does everyone think? Christopher |

Hi Christopher
This story fascinated me from start to finish and I agree with CD that surely the sister would recognise her own brother! I think the father was also getting mysterious phone calls at some point also... Perhaps the family is correct in thinking that he is involved in some cover up and he was told if he contacted them they would be harmed. However it makes me wonder that if he came that close to his sister those times..why he didnt say that he was ok and he would explain one day when it was all over. To just stand and stare or follow in a car is too bizarre. |
