As I'm sure you've read, looks like the release of further Mary Tyler Moore Show seasons on DVD beyond the four we already have is in peril. Read the sales figure article that has been posted here for DVD sales figures.

So, in order to secure episodes beyond season 4, I've done the only thing possible: I picked up the deluxe Mary Tyler Moore Show VHS boxset issued in 1997. Seven tapes, one tape for each of the seven seasons. Each tape contains two episodes per season. The season 7 tape does contain the final episode, so that's good.

This box set can still be had on Amazon.com or found on eBay, but you'll have to work to find a good deal. Worth it, in my opinion.

First off,

It's always nice to see new faces around here! Second, yeah, I have that set, and it's great. I do recommend it to anybody out there who hasn't seen the last 3 seasons. Thirdly, since I know you want season 5 as badly as the rest of us here, please e-mail Fox and let them know: Foxdrop@4icc.com (I've been posting that address here so often, I have it memorized, hehe!). I also think I'll be starting a petition sometime soon. I keep saying I should, but then putting it off. LOL Stupid laziness.

I am not sure what else I can do, but I have been emailing that address at least 2 or 3 times a week.
I have asked my friends who like the show to do the same.
I hope they start listening one day.

Any other suggestions?
