James Moves From 'Queens' to 'Bob' - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Kevin James is in negotiations to take the lead in the feature "One Nation Under Bob."

The high concept Universal comedy would be James' first project after the end of his long-running CBS sitcom "The King of Queens."

Based on the script by John Scott Shepherd, "Bob" focuses on an average guy who inherits the world's smallest sovereign nation and becomes a monarch. No director is currently attached, though eventually that may change.

Tom Shadyac and Michael Bostick are in place to produce for their Shady Acres shingle.

After an improbably long run, "King of Queens" will come to an end this spring, shortly after passing the 200-episode milestone and earning James his first Emmy nomination last year.

On the feature side, James had a showy supporting role in the Will Smith smash "Hitch" and will next share the screen with Adam Sandler in the not-so-gay marriage comedy "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry."

Sounds like a fun type of movie. I am looking forward to his movie with Sandler after seeing them together on TV Together.
