Blackadder is a brilliant show and a true classic. Though the first series left alot to be desired, the following three series made the show supendous.

Black Adder was great. I thought Rowan Atkinson is funnier in that than he is as Mr Bean, but i appreciate that it's different types of comedy, and Mr Bean was a brilliant character created by Atkinson and was funny in his own way.

Blackadder is probably my favorite Britcom. Such a funny and brillaintly written show. If you ever get a chance, pick up a copy of the book that has the complete scripts of all four series. It's a great read.

Oh, good old Blackadder! Yeah, it sure is a classic! It can be nasty at times, but nevertheless, a historical sitcom is not something, that I will miss.

This would also have to be my favorite Britcom! When I see Hugh Laurie on "House" now, I can't believe it's the same man who used to make me roll on the floor with his dimwitted characterizations! And Rowan Atkinson was gorgeous in the Elizabethan series IMHO LOL!
Such an innovative idea, to tell the history of one family over several series with fabulous costumes and sets and over-the-top humor! |

Yeah, Rowan Atkinson sure looked the best in the Elizabethan times. He was almost handsome in beard! Even the moustache in the fourth series helped. I guess he's one of the few men, who actually look better with facial hair than without.

And for that matter, Hugh Laurie was pretty cute back then himself LOL! (Still handsome now, but in a more rugged way.)

Funny show, I loved Baldrick....funny thing is, in real life, Tony Robinson (Baldrick) is a highly intelligent, well-educated man, with a university degree, and yet, he played a MORON!

Blackadder is my favorite Brit-com. I could watch this show over and over again. Never fails to make me laugh even though I know the punchlines and what's going to happen. Rowan's delivery and facial expressions are a sight to behold.
And yes, he was gorgeous in the 2nd (and 3rd) series. Heh. Hugh is not ugly either.
