Charlotte Rae was much funnier on FOL than DS...
I know Charlotte Rae's background goes back further, but I believe she was much funnier here than Diff'rent Strokes. In Diff'rent Strokes, her humor was generally either dark, bland, or in poor taste. In FOL, I just get a kick out of her jokes. It sounded much fresher and more funnier than her stint as a supporting character. But that's just me.

She was funnier, because she had more jokes written especially for her, considering she was the star of FOL.
