Shape Up Episode - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

If anyone else has seen this episode "Shape Up", it's going to be on this Thursday night on Nick at Nite. It's the episode where DJ has been invited to a pool party & is self conscience about her body, so she goes to the gym to exercise & almost fainted. She had also stopped eating all together. I think this was an episode with a special message to all teenagers that dieting can be dangerous to their health.

Anyone else like this episode?

Yes, it's one of my favorites; I agree, there were some episodes that really did have special messages. It really is a dangerous path to start down; D.J. wasn't to the point of having one yet, but I suspect that for some teens, this kind of incident is where it starts, if someone had to pick a starting point.

In the message of the problems with the diet, totally lost is the problem of sneaking into the motel. The Chronology states that Becky contacted the motel's owners, and got them the part - since it was all planned - in exchange for some special stuff on their show, including some interviews. that way, D.J. wuldn't have to sneak in.

It makes sense, becuase being on tV is something a lot of people enjoy doing, and the free publicity would be very enticing in exchange for not stopping them from sneaking into the pool area. One of those fun things about the Chronology uncovering thigns that "happened between scenes and episodes." Just like showing D.J. correcting/punishing Michelle.

It has important message about taking proper care of yourself. It's a good episode.

It was funny when Michelle had a pig out on the cake samples. I wonder which twin that was. My guess Mary-Kate? because she used her left hand. Do you think?
