Default Larenz Tate seemed like he was a tryout early in the series

I was watching a few episodes in the morning, and they showed some early episodes, and I caught Larenz Tate in a bully character. He teamed up with Waldo. I don't know if Shawn Harrison was Waldo back then, but it semed like Shawn Harrison had got over with the people if they repackage him and Larenz didn't.

I believe Shawn Harrison was the only Waldo.

Which guy is Larenz Tate? I think he must be the dude that sort of hung out with Eddie Winslow and Waldo Geraldo Faldo in the beginning episodes. If I'm right, his charachter is kind of a jerk!
I think Larenz Tate was one of the people who got Steve Urkel drunk at that roof-top party. Poor Steve!

Yeah, that was Larenz's character and the episode I was talking about. I can't remember his character name though.

A long time ago. I used to think Weasel was Willie Fufner (Larenz Tate) I figured since Waldo befriended Eddie, Willie did too. And for the most part laid off on Urkel.

The producers asked both Shawn Harrison and Larenz Tate, the guy who played Willie, if they would like to continue on the show as regulars,Harrison Agreed but Tate declined, so the producers decided to make Waldo Eddie's friend instead. Had Tate agreed we probably would have seen Waldo continue to hang-out with Willie instead.

That's interesting. I never knew that. Well, things happen for a reason. Larenz has got a decent movie career.

Do you think Larenz Tate's charachter Willie would have changed over the years though? I can imagine it would have gotten rather repetitive having him be a bully to Urkel, and having Urkel outwit him all the time. I wonder if he would have softened up later on and became friends with Urkel. Also I wonder if later on, we would have seen Eddie Waldo and Willie hanging out a lot instead of Eddie Waldo and Weasel. What do the rest of u think?

Yeah, dude, I couldn't recall his character name either, but I saw a post below where somebody asks if his name was "Weasel." LOL. Now, I remember that it was! He was funny with Waldo, Eddie, Laura, Urkel and the whole gang!

I think that show is just awesome! I really liked the one when Eddie loses a bunch of money in some pool game bet so his father Officer Carl Winslow comes down to the pool hall with his mama to save the day! Super!
