"Season X" or "The Complete X Season"-- which is the better branding? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

What do you think-- which is the better branding for a set of television discs, "Season X" or "The Complete X Season"?

I prefer "The Complete X Season" when the season is in fact complete. Warner issued Season 1 of Mama's Family under the guise of "The Complete First Season" when all of the episodes were edited. The recent CBS/Paramount release of Laverne & Shirley has been labeled "Second Season" which definitely tipped me off that something would be incomplete or changed. So, definitely "Complete" as long as the set lives up to its label.

Four of my sets definitely live up to that label-- the two "Hart to Hart" sets, "Dynasty" S1, and "Hill Street Blues" S1.

I think "The Complete Season" is better branding too.

You know, until I read this post I was thinking "Why should it matter?." I never thought of it that way. Good points.

Yeah, "The Complete Xith Season" is the best way to go to market shows.
