Frank Lorenzo on All in the Family. I can't think of a specific incident; he just seemed that way.

I know, one time she caught him drinking it was funny she said. "Woodrow, put that bottle down before I knock you out". "Don't make me knock you out".

The hen-peckedness of Cliff surfaced in the third season when Clair began nagging him about his eating habits.

The men on the Cosby Show was portrayed as idiots who were not on the ball with life. Martin and Elvin had their hands tied, lips sealed, feet binded to a corner and the string was pulled as long as it was relevant to the point of view presented. Also, Cliff's father was henpecked as well. The second season episode where Clair's sister got engaged and the women were in the kitchen and they talked about men as though they were all monsters. Rudy dogged Kenny "Bud" as well. That was a bit much for a child to tell a boy, "You got to earn my love." Hello what does a child know about earning love.

Tom Willis of The Jeffersons was an outright doormat in his marriage to Helen. It was beyond me how those two were casted as a married couple. They do not seemed compatible at all and I found that amusing to watch. But it was good to bring the interracial couple out in the open as being the first interracial married couple on TV. I just did not care for their relationship.
