I think everyone agrees how great an accomplishment Jackie Robinson breaking into MLB was but ESPN is about to make me puke with all of their promos and constant talk about it. Damn near every commercial and show on ESPN makes it a priority to talk about it. Enough already!!

Why not talk about it? He not only changed baseball but also america. We owe this man a lot.

And no one is arguing that point. But ESPN is completely ramming down our throats. You cannot turn on ESPN without hearing or seeing it. A person can only hear the same thing over and over and over and over.......so many times.

I personally thought the Duncan/Crawford story was a LOT BIGGER on Sunday than Jackie Robinson. I'm sick of it too

I guess I can agree with you somewhat. The thing I'm really getting sick of that ESPN shows over and over again is that damn person who threw a pizza at fenway park!!! That's such a pointless story! The people at ESPN are talking about pizza when we wanna know about sports! I've heard them say that's a perfectly good pizza damn shut up! If we wanted to know about pizza we would've tuned into the food network or something.

I don't mind all this Jackie Robinson coverage. Afterall, it is the 60th anniversary of his death. I don't think there's anything wrong with taking a few days to recognize the achievements of one of the most inspirational, and relevant people in sports history. If they had this kind of coverage on him every year, then yes, it would be too much, but doing it every 10 years or so makes sense to me.

Atleast it's not like all these newschannels that spend months on end talking about people like Anna Nicole Smith. The Jackie Robinson story actually has some historically relevance, and has made an impact in many people's lives, unlike who the father of Anna Nicole's baby is, which affects absolutely no one, other then Anna's family.

I've personally enjoyed all the Jackie Robinson coverage, and have learned alot about him, so, I really have no problem with it.

It was the 60th anniversary of him breaking the color barrier by playing his first game in the major leagues. Mr. Robinson passed away in 1972.

Well it has finally calmed down on ESPN with the promos. Can you imagine what the hell it's going to be like on ESPN when ******** Bonds gets to within 1 homerun of tying Hammering Hank?? Talk about overkill!!!!

Thanks for the correction Dr. Jazz. I actually knew it was the 60th anniversary of him breaking the color barrier, I think I just got confused and said his death, since I was also writing about Anna Nicole Smith. I actually have a collectors edition baseball of the 50th anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier, next to my bed. He's definitely someone I've always had a great deal of admiration and respect for.
