Default Seasons 7, 8 and 9 on DVD

When these seasons come to DVD, will they be in the order they were filmed or aired. Correct me if I'm wrong, but some episodes that were fillmed and were supposed to air during season 7, aired during season 8 (because of a CBS strike).

The two-part premiere for season 9 (Laundry is a Tough Town) was filmed during season 8 while other episodes filmed after this aired in season 8.

I know that the first episode filmed for season 3 (Louise Suspects) was the first episode on the season 3 dvd, although it was the third episode aired. The second episode became the season premiere (George and the President)

How do you guys think seasons 7, 8 and 9 will be handled???

Good question. Other shows that aired during those years 1980-81 through 82-83 had the same situation so looking to how they handled it on dvd is the answer (I guess). Taxi had the same situation but they've only gotten up to the 80-81 seasons on dvd. I would hope that since 24 shows were taped for seasons 7-9 they'd release those shows on dvd in production order. Otherwise it would be only 20 shows for season 7 and 26 each for the other 2.

It will be awesome if these seasons are released between this fall and next fall. I guess at this point, we also won't have to worry about syndicated episodes either.

I think it's possibility for season 7 to come out before 2008, but no way is TWO SEASONS coming out on DVD before 2008. If that happened I would pass out-lol

Another reason I'm interested in the later seasons on DVD would be to see what was edited out. Generally in syndication they cut out the first few minutes of either Act 1 or Act 2 but I recently saw an episode from Season 10- Back to Basics in syndication and it seems like nothing was cut out- the episode begins with Louise, Helen, Bentley and Florence entering the apt, Act 1 ends with Louise in shock that the young man can't read and focuses on them in silence for about 1 whole minute and Act 2 picks up right where that left off. There are other episodes from the last couple episodes where the syndicated versions seem to tell a seemless story, but others that I have seen edited and unedited and I know that there had to have been some trimming done to these later shows, although I can't easily tell where.

And I'm sure the ep when the lady wanted to kill George and he too the Gun away from her, didn't End when she left the APT. A couple of members tried to tell me that it ended that way on CBS and I just can't believe that
