It's getting pretty dead on this board. So here's my effort to revive it: I'm curious how you guys watch your DVD's. I'm curious because I have a bit of a weird way of watching them. For TV Shows, I usually (if the DVD has chapter stops) skip the theme song, watch the first half of the show, then GO back to the theme song, and resume from the half-way point. I also, since my collection is so overwhelmingly big, usually end up starting an episode, but not finishing it in one sitting. Then I usually move on to starting another episode (or finishing one I already started) on another set. I also tend to watch the episodes in order, though I never really started doing that until I started my FLINTSTONES collection (about a year ago this month).

For some reason, I have this thing where I can't watch a whole DVD set/season straight through. If I have 2 or 3 shows, I'll watch the 1st disc of one show, put it away, watch a a disc of another show, put that away, then watch a disc of another show, then probably go back to the 1st. Depends how many shows I have.
If there's audio commentary on an episode, I'll watch the episode 1st without the commentary, even if I've seen it before, then watch it again with the commentary. |

I usually watch the theme song once then when I go to watch another episode I skip the theme song. I never go to the play all feature even if I want to watch the 1st episode I always go to chapter selection no matter what.

I usually watch 1 disc out of a set with the episodes in order, then switch to
a different set because I get burned out if I watch the whole season of a show. |

I'll watch each episode of a show all the way through, and if any have commentary, I'll watch the ones that do, with that. Then I'll just wach random episodes on the disc, or discs, without the commentary, and sometimes I'll skip the series opening.
Oh, yea, if a disc or discs, has any extras I'll watch them first. |

When I get a new set, I'll watch it in order over the course of a week. Sometimes, I like to watch 3 part episodes backwards, just to change things up a bit, lol.
With my Frasier sets, I have always skipped watching the last disc until a new set is released. I know some seasons have had cliff hangers, and I don't want to wait 5-6 months for the resolution, so I just don't watch that last disc at all until the next season is released (Which means I would have to wait 5-6 months anyway ). I know, its wacky, but it helps me enjoy the show.lol.. |

I will watch episodes in order but only 1 episode a week if it is an hour show. Half hour shows more frequently. I have many many dvd sets still in plastic
![]() I just finished Tony Orlando and Dawn/ Captain and Tennille sets and will probably watch them again in the fall/winter time |

whenever I buy a new release of one of my favorite shows, I reserve that Saturday to sit in front ofthe TV all day with a delicious snack and watch all 24 eps from start to finish. So I start around 11am and finish around 11pm that night. Will be doing this again in June when the Cosby Show comes out |
