Sad story. I feel for the people that died that day. I remember watching the movie when it came out I was like in the 1st or maybe 2nd grade.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the people who died during the sinking of the Titanic and their familes.

Indeed it was, and is, a tragedy. Can you even imagine how awful those drowning people felt to see others get into lifeboats and get to safety when they didn't have a chance??

I read an excellent book: The Titanic's Last Hero. It's the story of John Harper, a Scottish minister who spent his final minutes on the Titanic witnessing to others before he died. I cried and cried. I'd recommend it to anyone. I don't recall the author's name, but you can find the title on amazon.

I forgot about this "anniversary," and I've read a lot about the Titanic disaster... hit the iceberg at 11:40 PM, April 13, the last part of the ship to sink went down at 2:20 AM, April 14. 1,523 lives lost.

BTW, the first officer of the Titanic to see the iceberg was... Frederick "Fleet!"
