Default Annoying attempted spin-offs that weren't actually going to have a spin-off at all..

Here a couple from Charles In Charge:

Lost Resort
Almost Family
Fair Exchange

Man, those were bad attempted spin-offs that really didn't deserve a spin-off at all..

The two part finale of FOL where Blair is made housemother of Eastland.

Wasn't the show MAUDE a spin-off of All in the Family? I'm not sure.

There are so many stinko spin-offs.

How about the episode of The Nanny, "The Chatterbox," where almost the whole ep. took place in the hair salon? It's not a good ep. at all. Most TN fans really can't stand it.

What about the FOL episode where they focus on Jo's family.

Punky Brewster had that two part episode Fenster Hall, which was so unnecessary to have.

Yes it was... Maude Findlay was Archie Bunker's liberal cousin... the character first appeared on "All In The Family" and then got a spin-off the ultra-successful "Maude" starring Beatrice Arthur and it ran for 6 seasons.

That indeed was a bad episode. Much as I love guest star Megan Follows (Anne of the Green Gables movies), I think that was the worst ep of season 3.

Speaking of FOL, I didn't care either for the Season 2 ep "Brian and Sylvia". That starred a post-General Hospital and pre-MacGyver Richard Dean Anderson.

It's not the actors who were the problems. It's just that characters we've never seen before and don't care about are shoved into the spotlight. It's so obvious that "SPINOFF" is what's being pitched at us.

Maude was EDITHS cousin; not Archies.

The Gimme A Break! S2 episode "Nell and The Kid" seemed to be an attempted spinoff for Don Rickles.
S2 of 227 in the episode "The Audit" took place in a office building diner that seemed to be a pilot for a spinoff starring Red Buttons.
Of course there was the rejected "Jackee" pilot during S4(that TVOne airs uncut with the original opening/closing theme).

Diff'rent Strokes had an attempted pilot for a bunch of college students, I think.

I hated it when they showed the main characters for a good 4-5 minutes and sidelined them to the barracks or make appearances out of nowhere to liven up the mood. You know the main characters are the stars of the show and yet they force us with these non-important characters, which the audience could care less about. It always pisses me off that they will do this a lot because it makes the whole idea irrelevant to the whole show in general.

The Brady Bunch featured an episode with Ken Berry called "Kelly's Kids." Sherwood Schwartz was hoping for a spin-off. It was a bomb.

There was an episode of That's So Raven called "Better Days" in which Cory wins a contest to become an extra on a tv show. Then the whole episode centers on the star of the imaginary tv show trying to fit in in a normal school. Terrible episode. Raven and the cast were in it for no more than 5 minutes.

There were 2 episodes of Sabrina the Teenage Witch which were intended to start spin-offs. Both of these potential spin offs were to star Melissa Joan Hart's sister Emily.

There was also the Married With Child failed pilot that featured a group of college students...
