Thus far, no "American Idol" winners are scheduled to make appearances at the first Idol Camp, but a slew of other familiar also-rans will drop by.
The first group of "Idol" finalists confirmed to stop by the performing arts camp include Vonzell Solomon, Jon Peter "Pen Boy" Lewis and Carmen Rasmusen. Also set to attend are Kimberley Locke and Bucky Covington. "This roster of exceptional 'Idol' talent helps to reinforce our commitment to creating a unique 'American Idol experience while providing children with the ultimate performing arts education," says Donna Milani Luther, Camp Director. "All of these talented individuals have something special to offer our campers and we're looking forward to working with them this summer." Idol Camp begins its first session on July 7, 2007 in Northfield, Massachusetts. The tuition is $2,900 per 10-day session, transportation not-included. Spaces are still available (the application deadline is April 18), though the camp's site cautions, "Acceptance into Idol Camp does not guarantee entrance into the 'American Idol' television series competition, nor will it provide inside information or any other advantage in the 'American Idol' audition process." |

Sounds like a fun time. I'll bring my hockey mask and machete.
