Default "It's because Mr. Brady died of AIDS."

Does anyone know what movie this line is from? One character asks another one why things in life don't work out as neatly as they do on a Brady Bunch episode. The other character's above reply was supposed to show that even in the Brady world things weren't always perfect.

It seems like it could have been "Reality Bites" but I can't picture the scene.

That's one of my favorite movie lines. It just seems like a perfect encapsulation of the whole Generation X mindset. You're right. It was from "Reality Bites".

Yup. There'll always be a little blue square with a missing Mr. Brady in our heart of hearts.

I don't think that they'd ever have another Mike Brady.

They'll never be another Mike Brady. Robert Reed was the best. I doubt they'll have another reunion type show other then maybe retrospectives and if they did they would probably just say that Mike died.

We need one more reunion. Have Mike die bc you can't replace RR with the family all getting together to remember him. It's been almost 20 years. I could handle that, as long as another series doesn't become of it.
