This sitcom stars Jodie Sweetin as Jill Hudson, a 22-year-old Chicago college student living with her brother and his fiancee, along with her two-year-old set of twin children: Stella and Preston Hudson. Jill works as a part-time sales girl for an upscale Chicago department store, while she goes to school to get her Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, plus be a full-time mother to her two young children. Jill's older brother and fiancee, Kevin and Gaby (Will Friedle, Aimee Garcia) are very supportive of Jill and always willing to help lend a helping hand for Kevin's niece and nephew. Kevin works third shift at a plastics factory in a suburb of Chicago, as Gaby is also a Marketing student (as Jill) and continues to work her hostess job at a classy, exclusive country club. Jill is not still romantically-involved, but remains civil with the twins' dad/her ex-boyfriend, Angelo (Wilmer Valderama). Jill and Angelo share split custody of the twins. Angelo and Jill met the summer after she graduated high school, and they split up shortly after Jill gave birth to their twin children. Angelo's mom knows Gaby's mom, they've grown up knowing each other but never became close friends until after Gaby started dating Kevin and he started dating Jill. And every so often, the four adults and two toddlers are visited by Jill and Kevin's meddlesome-yet-meanwell parents, Mark and Kim (Kelsey Grammer and Kathie Lee Gifford).
