Why do you think Earl & Randy keep living at the "Motel"? I mean its kind of run-down and the pool is usually green and the room is very small, so why do
they stay there?

I think they live there because it's so cheap. They could get a really nice place with the $100,000 that Earl won, but he wants to use most of that money for the list and since neither Earl or Randy want to get a job, they spend as little money as possible on food and rent.

But usually staying at a motel for a long time can be more expensive than renting a cheap apartment. But since this is a rundown motel it may be "really" cheap.
