New Spinoff Debate, Is Archie Bunker's Place a Spinoff or a continuation? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I say that it's a continuation since the Main Character, is still on the show in the same house. It's just that the title of the show was changed and the situation was a little diferent. I still say Continuation kind of like Three's a Crowd

What do you think?

Yes it's a Spinoff of All in the Family, the show had a different cast, theme song, it didn't seem like a family style show. If it's wasn't a spinoff then they would have left the show as "All in the Family," and they wouldn't have changed it.

I say it's a continuation and most every source I've ever read has said the same thing. Here are some links that may or may not prove anything but at least they side with Solomon and myself.

That IMDB link says in the first sentence IT IS A SPIN-OFF. Why would that link help support a show as being a CONTINUATION?
