Except on a special occassion, it occurs to me that the only person on the show that changes outfits is Marilyn lol

I guess it was to be a identifiable look for each character. The Flintstones seemed to be in the same predicament.

It also could've had something to do with the show being in black & white. I've seen color shots, (no, not our colorized ones,) that have Herman's jacket being a faded redish-purple and others a faded navy blue. Herman generally wore the same thing, but had occasions where he'd be dresses different. Like when he was a drag racing or like when he was playing golf.

Eddie was always wearing the Little Lord Fauntleroy type outfit. Grandpa wore different clothes to the masquerade party and then when he was trying to make Herman jealous he dressed like Valentino. There was a few others, too. Just not very many.

Lily, I believe had several dresses. They were just all alike. From time to time her outfit would change slightly. Sometimes she'd wear the cloak. She was in other outfits when she was the fashion model and working in the shipyard, the beauty parlor and in the tea house.

For Marilyn, )besides being two different people,) wore a few different outfits, but they were all in the same vein, (as Grandpa would say.)

I'm left uncertain what color Herman's suit should be because, besides the redish-purple and navy blue you mention, Dirtprod, I've also seen it brown or a deep purple in some color photos.
Grandpa's suit varies from light purple to blue in color photos.
Remember Eddie saying to the lawyer that it was the only suit he had?
Must be spares. Need to wash them after a while. They're just identical, in homage to Universal Pictures.

I have been fortuante to see Lily, Herman, and Eddie Munsters' regular outfits in a Planet Hollwood resturante!
it was pretty awesome.
