Question Do your family/friends tease you about your sitcom crushes?

I have a friend who busts my chops a lot because of my thing for Gregory Sierra ( ) of Barney Miller and Sanford & Son fame. He always says, "Monika, you need to get better taste in men." I also think that Peter Bonerz (Jerry Robinson on the Bob Newhart Show) was pretty cute. Yes, I'm aware that I have...UNIQUE taste in men. But hey...I don't care what others think!!

My Mom and neighbor laughed when they found out I bought a Christy McNichol poster.

I have been meaning to ask you abt that crush. I notice in your posts you mentioning Gregory Sierra A LOT! I love him as an actor. He is very good at his craft. He was so popular back in them days.

As for my crushes, my family jokes with me CONSTANTLY abt my man JOHN TRAVOLTA. I told them a long time ago that my kids were actually fathered by John, and ever since then, whenever they see a magazine photo of him or he comes on television, they will say "There's your babies daddy!" Or at my sister's house they will say, "We saw the girls' dad on television yesterday." They say it like it's for real and it is an on-going thing.

I have loved J.T. ever since Welcome Back Kotter. I have loved him and adored him because of the obvious, his looks. But also because he has lasted in this business called "showbusiness" without being tarnished. No drugs, no alcohol, no scandal, etc. The worst thing ever said abt him back in the days was that he was gay. To me, that is not bad, but in the business back then, that was not something a man needed to be said abt him, whether it was true or not.

JOHN TRAVOLTA IS MY MAN!

My husband & son don't really make fun of my crush on David Cassidy but they do roll their eyes alot, especially when I want to watch one of the Partridge Family DVD's. I also named my son Keith, after Keith Partridge, and of course he hates the name.

My heart went a flutter when I first saw him on Barney Miller. I would've loved it if he'd stayed till the end. I would've loved to see Chano grow and develop as a character like Wojo, Harris, etc.

I have rented and/or taped a good deal of his filmography and have seen him in all sorts of roles. I've noticed he tends to play the bad guy a lot, and gets killed off a lot. NOOO!!

http://imdb.com/name/nm0797268/

I'd just love to find a working address to write to him. I'd LOVE an autographed pic!!

Yes, they sometimes do. My friend teases me about my crush on Matthew Perry. I like Ralph Macchio too as you can see by my av. I just started liking him though from The Karate Kid movies. I used to love Michael J. Fox and my dad used to tease me about that.

I don't get teased because I don't like any sitcom actors.

I was given a hard time for my thing on Bonnie Franklin where everyone else went for Valerie Bertinelli. The same thing about Meredith Baxter Birney over Joanna Kerns, Growing Pains. I was definitely dogged about my thing for Linda Lavin. I always thought she was cute especially the first three seasons of Alice.
